May 23, 2003 - Erin and the Lost Dog
When we visited Folly Beach, SC, in 2003, we made a few trips to a local restaurant called the Lost Dog Cafe. They describe themselves as a "laid back beach cafe," and that's exactly what they are. The food was delicious, and the service was great. But what Erin loved about it (even more than the bagels) was the statue of the dog inside the door. It was the perfect size for her to hug every time we went in, and on our last morning she wanted to stop and say good-bye to her "friend." The Lost Dog has since moved to a new building in town, and we hope that someday we'll be able to go back there to visit.
