March 7, 2009 - Holy Jim
One day last March, Jim suggested we take a drive out to Trabuco Canyon to hike in the Cleveland National Forest. I don't know how he'd found it, but he said there was a trail there call Holy Jim that he wanted to check out. What an adventure! From the main road, the "road" leading to the trailhead was a bumpy, washboard-like, dirt road. The 5 mile ride took us 45 minutes, and we were grateful to have a 4WD SUV to get us there. Once on the trail, though, it was a wonderful walk through woods, over (and through) streams, and up and down hills. The scenery was fantastic! Totally worth the ride to get there. Plus, where else could I possibly get a picture like this!
